A. User-Selected Text

What we collect: When you use the "Explain with Inline AI" feature, the specific text you select on a webpage is temporarily processed.
How we use it: This text is sent directly to the Google Gemini API to generate an explanation.
Storage: We DO NOT store your selected text or the generated explanations on our servers. The data is processed in real-time and discarded after the explanation is displayed.

B. Authentication Data

What we collect: If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address, name, and profile picture via Google Authentication (Supabase).
How we use it: To manage your subscription status (Free vs. Lifetime) and sync your preferences across devices.

C. API Keys

What we collect: If you use the "Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK) feature, you input your personal Google Gemini API Key.
Storage: Your API Key is stored locally on your device using Chrome's secure storage (`chrome.storage.local`). It is never sent to our servers. It is only used to authenticate requests sent directly from your browser to Google's servers.

2. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate Inline AI. Their privacy policies govern their use of data:

• Google Gemini API: Used for generating text explanations. Google Privacy Policy.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• All data transmission occurs over secure HTTPS connections.
• Sensitive keys (like your Gemini API Key) are stored locally on your device.
• We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers.

4. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can revoke the extension's access to your browser data at any time by uninstalling the extension. To request deletion of your account data, please contact us.
